Concept Solutions is seeking a Sr.  Configuration Manager (CMDB, ServiceNow & ITSM Governance) to support Change and Configuration Management activities on the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) ITIPSS Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) Program in Oklahoma City, OK.


The Sr.  Configuration Manager will work alongside senior Configuration Management professionals to maintain configuration baselines, process change requests, support Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), and ensure compliance with established Configuration Management (CM) processes. This role is ideal for a CM professional seeking to develop deep expertise in a structured, mentored environment while contributing to the governance and operational excellence of a large-scale federal IT environment.


The ideal candidate possesses experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) principles, ServiceNow, configuration management systems, and change management processes. The successful candidate will support the development, integration, and continuous improvement of change and configuration management procedures to ensure effective governance, compliance, operational efficiency, and organizational success.


Change Management
  • Process and perform quality assurance reviews of Change Requests in accordance with ITIL-based Change Management procedures.
  • Support Configuration Control Board (CCB) and Corrective Action Board (CAB) activities, including agenda preparation, meeting minutes, action item tracking, and follow-up coordination.
  • Coordinate with development teams, operations personnel, program management, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with established change control processes.
  • Monitor and track change requests through their lifecycle and ensure required approvals and documentation are maintained.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives related to change management governance and operational effectiveness.
  • Assist senior CM personnel in developing and refining change management procedures, workflows, and best practices.
Configuration Management
  • Maintain configuration identification records and baselines for designated Configuration Items (CIs).
  • Perform configuration status accounting to track the state and lifecycle of configuration items.
  • Support Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs) and Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs) to verify compliance with established baselines.
  • Assist with repository management, version control, and configuration documentation activities.
  • Support Configuration Management Database (CMDB) maintenance and data quality initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with established Configuration Management policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
  • Assist with the development, integration, and continuous improvement of configuration management processes and controls.
ITSM, ServiceNow & Process Improvement
  • Support IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and governance activities across the Infrastructure & Operations environment.
  • Utilize ServiceNow to support Change Management, Configuration Management, CMDB administration, and related workflow activities.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, standardization, automation, and compliance within CM and Change Management processes.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to enhance operational maturity and service delivery effectiveness.
  • Support metrics collection, reporting, and analysis to measure process performance and drive continual service improvement.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare Configuration Management documentation, reports, meeting materials, and process artifacts.
  • Maintain accurate records of configuration baselines, change approvals, audit findings, and corrective actions.
  • Develop dashboards, status reports, and management briefings as required.
  • Support internal and external audits through documentation collection and evidence management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, IT Management, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Configuration Management, Change Management, IT Service Management, or a closely related IT discipline.
  • Working knowledge of configuration identification, change control, status accounting, and baseline management processes.
  • Experience supporting or participating in Configuration Control Boards (CCBs).
  • Familiarity with formal Change Request workflows and governance processes.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting IT services, enterprise operations, or infrastructure environments.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical teams, program management, and government stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ServiceNow, including Change Management, CMDB, ITOM, or related modules.

Familiarity with ITIL principles and IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices.

Experience supporting configuration audits, compliance initiatives, or governance activities.

Knowledge of configuration management tools, repositories, and version control systems.

Active Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one.


Work Location & Schedule

Primary Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Schedule: Monday through Friday, core hours 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM local time

Telework may be permitted when determined to be in the best interest of the Government

U.S. Citizenship required

FAA Personnel Suitability clearance required (AMS 3.14-2)

Compensation: $90K to $102K
