Description
The Configuration Analyst will be supporting the Naval Information Warfare Center - Atlantic (NIWC LANT) and U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) programs.
This person must work at one of the following Government and/or SAIC locations: Arlington, VA, Ft. Meade, MD, or North Charleston, SC.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the CM Lead in establishing and maintaining a CM process for controlling hardware, software, documentation, media, and parts
  • Identify, document, and verify the functional, performance, and physical characteristics of systems and their interfaces
  • Support stakeholders in managing change control processes, including Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Requests for Deviation (RFD), and Notices of Revision (NOR)
  • Assist the Configuration Management Lead in planning, conducting, and documenting Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs) and Physical Configuration Audits (PCA) to ensure system compliance and accuracy
  • Manage and maintain hardware and software configuration data using government systems, such as the DoD IT Portfolio Repository (DITPR)

Qualifications
Required Education:
  • BS degree and two (2) years experience; Four (4) years experience can be considered in lieu of degree
Required Skills:
  • Understanding basic configuration management principles and practices
  • Skilled with CM tools for status accounting and baseline management
  • Experience in CM plans, baselines, and change control processes for complex hardware and software systems
  • Show knowledge of the engineering change process, including ECPs, RFDs, and NORs
  • Experience in conducting and documenting FCAs and PCAs
  • Familiarity with DoD data management systems such as DITPR
Clearance Requirements:
  • Active TS/SCI
