Responsible for managing the demand planning, forecasting, and replenishment activities to meet 98% fulfillment rate for all channels.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Research and understand the Halex products and various packaging options by item part number.
  • Determine, suggest and implement changes to inventory, packing structure, and layout to increase throughput and efficiency.
  • Develop a method to cross reference item part numbers to create flexibility in fulfilling the various packaging options.
  • Standardize item part numbers and cross references in ERP.
  • Monitor and manage MRP to ensure the signals are accurate for recommended orders and stockouts.
  • Ensure ERP is updated and accurate in sourcing related fields.
  • Create and distribute Quarterly Forecast for top 80% of Halex Suppliers.
  • Proactively monitor and escalate supplier delivery issues in biweekly conference calls or as needed.
  • Provide alternative solutions to minimize customer stock outs.
  • Maintains appropriate inventory levels at outside warehouses to meet customer demand as well as desired inventory turns.
  • Monitors actual versus forecasted demand to identify changes that need to be made to SKU level material forecast.
  • Create purchase orders for domestic and international vendors.
  • Update vendor pricing as needed.
  • Monitor and reduce E&O inventory.
  • Develop a weekly production schedule in absence of Material Planner.
  • Produce monthly reports on inventory levels, lost sales, and inventory accuracy.
  • Support Global Supply Chain Manager in Sourcing activities in the identification and negotiation of suppliers as needed.
  • Support and optimize inbound logistics and customs related topics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent knowledge and work experience required
  • Minimum of 5+ 8 years of supply chain experience in:
    • Inventory Management, concentration in cycle counting and target inventory levels
    • Forecasting in a high volume, SKU intensive environment
  • Able to work with little oversight.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Independent thinker and both proactive and intuitive.
  • Demonstrates the capacity to adapt and relate to all types of people.
  • Organization, Comprehension, Retention, and Problem-Solving Skills.
  • Time Management and efficiency skills.
  • Analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Computer proficient (Windows, MS Office, manufacturing software systems, inventory systems experience, Warehouse Management Systems).
