This is a contingent position based upon contract award.

KBR is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented Conferencing Manager to join our team supporting a government client with locations in the Northern Virginia Area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight to the conferencing team for planning, organizing and executing events such as conferences, training and meetings.

  • Fully coordinate and collaborate on all tasks, activities, requirements and issues as they pertain to the support of the Customer's conferencing and training events.

  • Develop conferencing event plans and schedules, and define and document the implementation of requirements

  • Manage customer expectations with proactive, consistent and transparent communication.

  • Oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, including catering, venue selection, logistics, AV requirements, and scheduling.

  • Work closely with event point of contact, stakeholders, food service, logistics, security, and vendors to ensure the event objectives are met.

  • Develop the event budget in accordance with established guidelines, ensuring all expenses are accounted for, and provide to appropriate government POCs for approval. Manage approved budget throughout the event.

  • Conduct post event evaluations with POC, attendees and event support teams to assess the event's success and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with polygraph

  • Five (5) years of proven work experience as an Event Planner or Conference Manager.

  • Knowledge of KPIs and conferencing software for event management.

  • Personnel management experience with excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to interpret, capture, and manage customer requirements and expectations

Desired:

  • Four (4) year degree in marketing, hospitality management or related field is preferred.

Basic Compensation:

$88,000-$120,000

This range is for Virginia only.

  • The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

  • KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
