Responsible for the secure handling, control, and accountability of all cryptographic materials and devices.

The role requires meticulous record-keeping, strict adherence to security protocols, and direct support to the government COMSEC Account Manager (KOAM)

Serve as a liaison between Local Elements and the KOAM for COMSEC-related matters

Verify Department of the Army (DA) Form 7884s as required

Perform day-to-day administration of COMSEC records, including the maintenance and organization of COMSEC Account files

Schedule and communicate appointments for cryptographic key issues, destructions, and required training

Strictly adhere to all Army and local COMSEC rules, regulations, and policies.

Conduct daily physical inventory of all assigned COMSEC materials

Satisfy Two-Person Integrity (TPI) requirements when handling Top Secret keying material

Serve as an official witness for the inventory and destruction of COMSEC material.

Package, prepare, and coordinate shipments for COMSEC equipment requiring testing or calibration

Receive, inventory, and securely transport incoming and outgoing COMSEC materials.

Load cryptographic keys into security devices as directed 


Shall have documented prior experience with COMSEC account procedures or the Electronic Key Management System (EKMS).

Must demonstrate strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and absolute reliability

Possess a final, active DoD security clearance of the appropriate level.
