Allied Universal is seeking a motivated and dependable Security Officer / Suport Clerk (Hybrid) professional to join our team in a unique hybrid role that combines frontline security operations with administrative support responsibilities. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy variety, working in a fast pace complex computer task environment, comfortable learning new skills, and looking for career growth beyond a traditional security officer position.

Pay:

  • $25.00/hour while working Security Officer assignments
  • $30.00/hour while working Support Clerk assignments
As a Hybrid Security Officer / Support Clerk, you will work primarily Security Officer assignments while receiving training to perform Security Support Clerk duties. Once trained, you will provide coverage for Support Clerk shifts during scheduled PTO, leaves of absence, call-offs, and other staffing needs. This position offers the opportunity to gain valuable administrative, client service, and operations experience while remaining an active member of our security team.
Because Support Clerk coverage is critical to our operations, candidates must be available to begin work within the following start windows when scheduled:
  • 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM
  • 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
  • 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Schedule & Flexibility

This is a flexible position that supports both Security Officer and Security Support operations. Employees may be scheduled for either assignment based on business needs. Security Officer shifts may vary and can include weekends, holidays, evenings, overnight shifts, and short-notice scheduling.
Security Officer Responsibilities
  • Perform security patrols on foot when scheduled
  • Escort vendors and contractors to designated areas
  • Monitor for unsafe conditions, security risks, and policy violations
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies, alarms, and incidents
  • Control access to the facility by monitoring entrances and exits
  • Assist employees, visitors, and contractors in a professional manner
  • Complete detailed incident reports, activity logs, and other required documentation
  • Communicate with supervisors, law enforcement, or emergency responders when necessary
  • Perform other security-related duties as assigned
Support Clerk Responsibilities
When assigned as a Support Clerk, you will serve as the primary liaison for incoming Security Officer Requests (SORs) from client stakeholders
Responsibilities include:
  • Receive, process, and complete security service requests accurately and efficiently
  • Review requests for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established procedures
  • Determine staffing and resource requirements based on operational priorities
  • Create and maintain post orders using established standards
  • Update and maintain FileMaker Pro databases and daily contractor logs
  • Coordinate with Scheduling and Leadership regarding staffing needs and request status
  • Modify service requests based on client changes, staffing shortages, or operational priorities
  • Provide timely updates to clients and internal leadership
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while building positive relationships with client stakeholders
  • Perform additional administrative and operational support duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Three to five years of administrative experience in a fast-paced environment preferred
  • Previous customer service or client-facing experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize competing responsibilities
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Technical Qualifications
Candidates should have strong computer proficiency working with complex computer tasks, including experience with:
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required
  • Apple/macOS applications (Keynote, Pages, Numbers) a plus

  • Data entry and administrative software experience preferred
  • Professional email and business communication required
