Summary: 

  • Designs, implements, and maintains the IBM ELM or Jazz platform to support safety-critical aerospace workflows and the Digital Thread initiative.

  • Configures IBM ELM Suite including DOORS Next Gen, Engineering Workflow Manager, Engineering Test Manager, Rhapsody, GCM, and JTS.

  • Implements and maintains integrations between IBM ELM and enterprise systems including PLM, CAD, ERP, and MES using OSLC, REST APIs, and specialized middleware.

  • Builds linked data pipelines and defines data federation and synchronization strategies for a unified Digital Thread.

  • Aligns IBM ELM platform workflows with ARP4754A/B guidelines for civil aircraft development.

  • Maps and tracks development assurance levels (DAL A through E) across system architecture elements.

  • Manages change requests, defect tracking, and sprint planning within Engineering Workflow Management (EWM).

  • Develops automation scripts, plugins, and integrations using REST APIs, OSLC, JavaScript, and Python.

  • Designs and maintains automated reporting templates and compliance dashboards using IBM Engineering Lifecycle Optimization, BIRT, Power BI, or Tableau.

  • Configures project areas, access rights, permissions, workflow templates, and troubleshooting for IBM ELM platform administration.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

  • 5+ years of experience in software and systems engineering tooling with deep hands-on expertise in the IBM ELM ecosystem.

  • Proven track record of integrating IBM ELM with major PLM systems such as Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, or Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE.

  • Strong practical experience with ARP4754A/B frameworks, including interaction with DO-178C and DO-254.

  • Experience with Requirements Based Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

  • Experience with OSLC integration, REST APIs, and scripting or automation using JavaScript and Python.

  • Experience with IBM ELM tools including DOORS NG, EWM, ETM, Rhapsody, GCM, and JTS.

  • Experience creating enterprise dashboards using ELM, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.

  • Preferred: IBM Certified Specialist certification and familiarity with Agile, SAFe, and Waterfall delivery models.
