Job description

Job Title: Systems Engineer- Onsite in Phoenix, AZ

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, verification, and integration activities of avionics systems, ensuring they meet performance requirements and applicable safety standards.
  • Apply the full systems design V-model, from requirements definition through implementation, verification, and validation.
  • Develop, analyze, and manage system requirements, ensuring traceability and alignment with customer and regulatory needs.
  • Create and maintain system models to support architecture definition, design decisions, and system-level analysis.
  • Perform safety analysis activities to identify, assess, and mitigate system risks throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Lead discussions on system and software architecture definition, conducting trade studies to evaluate technical options and make informed design decisions.
  • Drive multi-disciplinary integration problem solving, working closely with hardware, software, reliability, and program management teams.
  • Develop verification procedures and test plans, and support or execute system and integration testing.

What We Look For:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in systems, electrical, software, computer engineering or another relevant related technical discipline.
  • Minimum five years’ of experience in a systems engineering role.
  • Experience with requirements management and change tracking tools such as DOORS, ADO, etc.
  • Experience with regulatory design guidelines; examples including ARP4754A, DO-178b/c, DO-254, DO-160.
  • Experience with avionics communication protocols including MIL-STD_1553, ARINC 429, ARINC 664, and Ethernet.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Open to occasional travel as needed.

Desired

  • Master’s degree in systems, electrical, software, computer engineering or another relevant related technical discipline.
  • Ten plus years’ experience in a systems engineering role.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $85.00/hr.
