Job description

Design amp; Production, Inc. (D amp;P) integrates systems for museums and public displays. Most systems are fully networked and deliver a variety of interactive and linear programs custom created by specialty software developers. Projects may include 4 โ€“ over 100 systems to be integrated for a complete facility. We are seeking a Computer Systems Specialist with knowledge and capability to specify delivery systems; document, test and load final programs; test for performance; and work hand-in-hand with the installation team, show control programmer, and end user to ensure compliance to both system delivery specifications and owner security requirements. Supporting roles include basic configuration or programming of anything from a stand alone video server to multi head playback systems that are computer based or specialized media delivery systems such as 7th Sense, Pandoraโ€™s Box, or Watchout.

WHAT YOUโ€™LL BE DOING
  • Upgrade existing systems to Windows 11 testing software for performance and adjusting configurations for performance issues.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues on existing systems - anything from bios settings through touch failures and frozen programs.
  • Analyzing information to recommend and plan the installation of new systems or modification of an existing system.
  • Collaboration with engineering staff to evaluate software hardware interfaces and ensure that developed specifications and performance criteria have been met.

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science, related degree or practical experience.
  • Knowledge of software development process and platforms.
  • Ability to develop testing of code components or complete applications
  • Creativity a plus.
  • Dependable team player with the flexibility to move from project to project and adapt to changing schedules.
  • Reliable โ€“ in office or on-site attendance. Early mornings are typical.
  • Knowledge of IT for Audio-Visual Applications
  • Outstanding communication and documentation skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years practical experience.
