JOB TITLE: Heavy Structures Mechanic (Airbus Experience)
LOCATION: Everett, WA
PAY RATE: $38.50/hour

Summary: 

  • Possess intermediate knowledge of aircraft systems and assigned work areas

  • Repair, modify, replace, and perform routine aircraft maintenance in specialized structural areas

  • Develop repair schemes using Structural Repair Manuals (SRM) or approved engineering data

  • Read and interpret manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings, and specifications

  • Conduct operational checks and functional tests as required

  • Accurately record time and clock to assigned jobs

  • Complete on-the-job training (OJT) documentation and required reading

  • Communicate effectively with maintenance personnel and leadership regarding progress and issues

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Maintain regular and prompt attendance

  • Demonstrate professional conduct with coworkers

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

  • Remove, repair, and replace primary structural components including:

    • Floor beams

    • Longerons

    • Bulkheads

    • Stringers

    • Frames

    • Chords

    • Other primary structural members

  • Fabricate parts using layout patterns and templates

  • Repair or replace aircraft skin, stiffeners, brackets, fairings, retaining strips, seat tracks, extrusions, and floor beams

  • Perform structural rebuilds in accordance with approved data

  • Locate, mark, and measure dimensions for structural repairs

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Airframe and/or Powerplant (A&P) License preferred

  • Completion of an apprenticeship program OR Minimum two (2) years of related commercial or military aircraft structural experience OR Equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and repair data

  • Knowledge of fundamental aircraft maintenance practices

  • Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision

  • Ability to perform basic to intermediate mathematical calculations

  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, and schedule-based instructions

  • Meet all applicable regulatory requirements under FAR Part 65

  • Proficiency in aircraft structural repair specialty

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl

  • Ability to use hands and arms for precision work

  • Close visual focus required

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally

  • Ability to climb ladders and aircraft stairs

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
