Application/Web Support Focused Role

Will support enterprise applications in web/middleware space Strong focus on operations & production support Technologies include Apache HTTPD, WebSphere, Tomcat, WebLogic Primary focus: Apache HTTPD & WebSphere The Infrastructure Engineer 3 AppWeb is responsible for supporting enterprise web and middleware platforms in a high-availability production environment. This role focuses on application stability, infrastructure support, and incident management across distributed systems. This role requires strong expertise in middleware technologies, troubleshooting, production support, and monitoring, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

Application / Web Platform Support

Support Apache HTTPD, WebSphere, Tomcat, and WebLogic environments Manage application deployments, configurations, and upgrades Ensure application availability and performance

Incident Management

Perform L2/L3 production support Troubleshoot application, middleware, and infrastructure issues Participate in on-call rotation and incident resolution

Infrastructure & System Support

Provision builds, configurations, and runtime environments Maintain middleware infrastructure Support system upgrades and patching

Monitoring & Performance

Utilize monitoring tools like Grafana Monitor alerts, batch failures, and system performance Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks

Compliance & Risk Management

Participate in risk and control processes Follow compliance, policies, and operational procedures

Collaboration

Work with application teams, vendors, and infrastructure teams Support enterprise incident management Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues

Documentation

Create operational documentation, policies, and procedures Maintain system runbooks and support guides

Must-Have Qualifications

3+ years of Infrastructure / Application Support experience Strong experience with Apache HTTPD (Required) Strong experience with WebSphere (Required) Experience with Tomcat / WebLogic Strong troubleshooting skills Experience in production support (Linux & Windows) Experience with monitoring tools (Grafana or similar) Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in enterprise environments Knowledge of ServiceNow (Incident Management) Experience handling outage calls and triaging issues Understanding of compliance and risk processes Experience troubleshooting HTTP and Java application issues
