Job description

Kronos has a long history of avionics engineering working with some of the largest aircraft integrators in the world. We are seeking experienced Systems Engineers to support Flight Management System (FMS) development, integration, verification, and certification activities for aerospace programs. This role will focus on investigating system issues, validating software fixes, updating requirements, and supporting certification efforts within a highly collaborative engineering environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with avionics systems, integrated test laboratories, and aerospace development processes.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with Flight Management Systems (FMS); Next Generation FMS (NGFMS) experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in integrated laboratory environments, system integration labs, or hardware-in-the-loop test environments.
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, requirements development, verification, and validation.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry standards, certification processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience investigating complex system-level issues and supporting root cause analysis.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DO-178 certification processes and documentation.
  • Knowledge of ARP4754A, ARP4761, or related aerospace development standards.
  • Experience supporting avionics integration and aircraft systems testing.
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools and defect tracking systems.
  • Previous experience supporting commercial or military aerospace programs.
