Job Description:
Velocity Staff, Inc. is working with our client located in Overland Park, Kansas, to identify a team-oriented Systems Administrator to join their team for a CONTRACT TO HIRE role in Overland Park, Kansas. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of Windows 10, MS Office, and Active Directory, and will play a crucial role in the LifeCycle Management of Windows Devices, as well as the maintenance and enhancement of our Service Desk application.
If you are a dedicated Systems Administrator with a passion for managing Windows devices, enhancing Service Desk applications, and potentially contributing to SharePoint administration, we encourage you to apply and be a part of our dynamic team.


Responsibilities:
1. **Windows Device LifeCycle Management:**
  - Manage patch management for Windows devices to ensure security and compliance.
  - Coordinate software deployment, updates, and installations across the network.
  - Perform device imaging and configuration to maintain a standardized environment.
  - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of hardware and software assets in the system.
  - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows devices promptly.
2. **Service Desk Application Management:**
  - Oversee the care and maintenance of the Service Desk application.
  - Implement changes and updates to the Service Desk application as required.
  - Provide technical support to users encountering issues with the Service Desk application.
  - Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the application aligns with business needs.
3. **Active Directory and User Management:**
  - Utilize your strong understanding of Active Directory to manage user accounts, groups, and permissions.
  - Ensure accurate user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access management.
  - Collaborate with stakeholders to implement security policies and user access controls.
4. **SharePoint Administration (Optional):**
  - Assist with SharePoint administration tasks, focusing on system maintenance and management.
  - Support users in their interactions with SharePoint, resolving access and basic functionality issues.
  Collaborate with the team to ensure SharePoint aligns with business processes.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Systems Administration with a strong emphasis on Windows 10, MS Office, and Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with LifeCycle Management processes, including patch management, software deployment, and device imaging.
  • Experience in maintaining and enhancing Service Desk applications, with the ability to implement changes and updates.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory user management and access control best practices.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint administration, including basic administration and user support (desirable).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
