The Opportunity:ย 
Federal Sherpa is uniquely positioned to support the United States Armyโ€™s Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) at Fort Leavenworth, KS by delivering strategic program and project management expertise tailored to MCTP. Leveraging a team of seasoned professionalsโ€”including U.S. Army veterans and former senior government executivesโ€”we provide mission-focused solutions that enhance War Fighter Exercises and SRM-aligned training. Our commitment to integrity, performance, and innovation ensures that operational forces are equipped to execute unified land operations and respond effectively to domestic crises, reinforcing the Armyโ€™s readiness and command capabilities.
Location:ย  Onsite โ€“MCTP โ€“ Fort Leavenworth, KS
As the Opposing Forces Chief of Multi Domain Operations and Airpower, youโ€™ll develop, implement, and measure the effectiveness of plans and procedures for clients, creating rich content to help you tell a realistic story. Youโ€™ll listen to client challenges and identify threats, gaps, or risks that need to be explored and provide a safe space for recommendations that will make lasting, real-world impact.
Responsibilities:
  • Participates in the OPFOR military decision-making process to develop OPFOR competitive Operations Orders.
  • Supports the military OPFOR Commander and contractor Chief of Staff.
  • Is the OPFORโ€™s chief of the muti domain operations (space, cyber, EW, IO and civil affairs) and airpower, responsible for integrating and synchronizing MDO and Air for the OPFOR commander.
  • Collaborates with the Blue Orders writers to ensure quality of Annex B (Intelligence) and Enemy Situation paragraphs.
  • Attends Event Life Cycle (ELC) events as required.
You Have:
  • Knowledge of Army and Joint regulations and current Multi Domain Operations (MDO) doctrine and application of airpower.
  • Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of programs.ย 
  • Has one or more of the following:
    • BS/BA degree with 5 years of military experience in an MDO field (space, cyber, EW) or application of airpower or
    • High School and 10 years of military experience in an MDO field (space, cyber, EW) or the application of airpower
  • A secret clearance.
Nice If You Have:
  • Experience as a field grade officer, warrant officer, or sergeant major.
  • Experience serving in a key developmental position at brigade/battalion level.
  • Experience as a former Battalion or higher commander or equivelant.
  • Experience with Constructive Simulation Models (e.g., Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC), Warfighters Simulation (WARSIM)
  • Experience working with the Mission Command Training Program (MCTP).
  • 20+ years of military experience.
  • Knowledge of FM 7-100 OPFOR Hybrid Threat doctrine.
  • Possess MEL 4 certification.
  • Graduate of the School of Advanced Military Studies
  • Possess an advanced degree
