Job description

Enjet Aero machines and fabricates complex jet engine parts, components and assemblies for leading OEMs in the commercial, defense and general aviation sectors. Position Description:

At Enjet Aero we rely on our IT systems to help our business reach and succeed in our goal to provide a robust Information technology program in line with requirements from partner companies. We’re seeking an experienced systems administrator who’s eager to use and grow his or her technological skills on a multiple location stage. In this role, the successful individual will protect our critical information systems, and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in the development of an overall IT strategy. From early on you will be given challenging assignments, lead initiatives, and take ownership and responsibility. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about applying their skills to technology-based business model that creates real-world solutions for Enjet Aero’s continued advancement in the technology world.

Objectives of this Role

  • Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
  • Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative
  • Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems that provide commercial advantage within our market space
  • Enable faster and smarter business processes and implement analytics for meaningful insights
  • Nurture dependable IT infrastructure and networking that’s always up and running
  • Partner with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly
  • Monitor datacenter health using preexisting management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers as needed
  • Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates, support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments, as well as cloud-based solutions
  • Interact with the end users with troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed
  • Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups
  • Travel will be necessary where applicable to locations in other states
  • Work with any additional assigned duties as required on information systems as necessary
  • All support tiers required as part of the day-to-day routine

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology or computer science or equivalent experience
  • Experience with or knowledge of operating systems; current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, security monitoring systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux administration
  • Professional certifications are a plus
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of networking principles

This position will be located in Overland Park and is an IN OFFICE role.
