Primary Purpose:

The Lease Analyst for this position will be responsible for Specialty Lease Administration and will be responsible to self-manage their workload for assigned ToDo Tasks and Rent Suspensions. They will work closely with their Lease Accounting Supervisor on validating reports, as well as working with the Mall Office Staff to complete manual billings on tenant accounts, verify, understand, and able to assist the Field Staff with understanding the tenant's ledgers, and answer questions for the Field Staff relating to sales overage rent charges and early lease terminations.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for validating the Integration Report each morning and escalating any variances or issues to the Lease Accounting Supervisor.
  • Responsible for researching the reason why a Specialty Lease does not integrate overnight into Yardi as an activated lease. Those leases will be maintained on the Lease Activation Tracker. The Lease Analyst is responsible for maintaining that tracker and then communicate any conflicts, or issues, found during the research process.
  • Review and complete on a timely basis the assigned Yardi ToDo Task that are generated for sales overage rent calculations, and miscellaneous billings relating to late fees, early lease termination fees, Non-Sufficient Fund fees, etc.
  • Analyze and process the Termination of a Specialty Lease Agreement that is terminating before the end of its lease term. This could include, but is not limited to, calculating the partial month of rent that would be due for the final days of occupancy.
  • Other duties and projects as they are assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Aptitude for understanding financial reports and extracting information
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize, coordinate, multi-task, as well as demonstrative initiative
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable knowledge preferred but not required (basic math skills, account reconciliation skills)
  • Various computer software such as Microsoft 365 and Salesforce.
