Job description

About Us: Quality Distribution, LLC., a leading Third-Party Warehouse and Distribution Company based in Utah, is currently seeking a full-time Forklift Operator to join our warehouse operations team. We are conveniently located just 2 miles West of the Salt Lake International Airport.

Forklift Operator Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate forklifts, order-pickers, and pallet jacks to move heavy materials within the warehouse.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Build and pick pallets according to specifications.
  • Load and unload palleted goods onto and from semi-trailers, ensuring proper stacking and securing of loads.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks, reporting any product damage or shortages.
  • Utilize RF scanning equipment to track inventory accurately.
  • Prepare goods for transport by shrink wrapping or securing them properly.
  • Weigh and record product weights for documentation purposes.
  • Analyze production schedules to prioritize timely transportation of materials and products.
  • Document the arrival, departure, and movement of goods, maintaining accurate records of inventory and order fulfillment.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be fluent in either English or Spanish and possess intermediate speaking proficiency in the other language (ability to hold workplace conversations).

  • Forklift certification and 1-2 years minimum experience operating forklift and other warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation.

Working Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm.
