Job Summary/Basic Function
The purpose of the Federal Work-Study Program is to give a student an opportunity to develop skills, gain on-the-job experience for future employment, and give the student flexibility to work around class schedules.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be a Bay College student in the work study program to be considered for this position. Eligibility for work-study is determined after you file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • Work-study requires that you are degree seeking and enrolled in a minimum of one credit that applies towards the semester you are employed.
  • You must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.

  • Answer Help Desk telephone and assist students and employees with technical issues.
  • Reset passwords
  • Assist users with setting up email on personal devices
  • Assist users with accessing the Bay College Wi-Fi Network
  • Provide support for classroom technology including video conferencing
  • Work within the Request Ticket system to solve user problems
  • Other duties as assigned by Helpdesk Coordinator and/or Coordinator of Campus User Technology
  • Assist in installation and troubleshooting of PC software and hardware across the campus
  • Assist in repair and setup of workstations
  • Assist in cabling of the network and troubleshooting the network
  • Assist Network admins with server maintenance tasks
