Job description

The Manager of Strategic Deployment will be responsible for leading enterprise-wide initiatives and collaborating with lines of business (Insurance/Administration/Health) for strategy development in support of our Enterprise Strategy and line of business strategies, conduct market research and competitive intelligence, and build business cases to support strategic objectives. The Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and assess opportunities for growth and will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve business objectives.  

This role requires individuals with the talent and skills to think outside the box, solve complex problems, and a willingness to roll-up their sleeves. They will be a member of Green Shield Management team and play an important part in supporting the delivery of GSC's strategic plan objectives and the growth and development of the Company. The role will report to the Director, Strategic Planning & Execution 

ENTERPRISE STRATEGY  

  • Lead the strategy development and planning of the Enterprise Strategy 5-year strategic plan and prepare presentations to Executive Leadership teams, CEO and the Board.  

  • Support the development and evolution of our enterprise strategy by working with various business units, product, finance, sales and operational teams.  

  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., business unit leads, product, sales, marketing) in crafting thoughtful and multi-dimensional strategies for engaging and collaborating with external partners, as well as execution of partner initiatives.  

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and make recommendations for improvement as needed.  

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration throughout the organization by sharing successful practices, seeking opportunities to establish strategic connections, and maintaining consistency in overarching processes and systems.  

BUSINESS UNIT STRATEGY 

  • Lead the development of various components of the Health & Admin strategy, including implementation of innovative public health strategies, provider strategy and other areas. 

  • Identify and evaluate new technological opportunities to enhance these health initiatives in the context of payer provider. 

  • Support the various business units (Health, Admin, Insurance) in delivering strategic initiatives by working with relevant internal stakeholders, creating and formulating strategy from ideation to execution.  

MARKET RESEARCH, INSIGHTS & ANALYSIS  

  • Conduct market and industry level research in support of the Enterprise and line of business strategies  

  • Manage and synthesize environmental scans, customer needs, technology trends, competitive threats, and expansion opportunities to provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership.  

  • Develop reports and presentations to help facilitate strategic discussions across the enterprise.
