Job description

What You Can Expect In This Role
Responsible for designing and delivering broad business intelligence analysis and metrics needed for appropriate division and senior leadership team. Partner with key business leaders and subject matter experts (SME) to design and implement scorecards and metrics processes to actively manage the business with one set of facts. Continuously communicate the necessary facts and data to drive corrective and proactive changes.
What You'll Do In This Role
• Lead the way in data discovery, both proactively and by request, to identify key insights and trends to help drive strategic recommendations; act as data expert.
• Collaborate with SME's and IT teams to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions.
• Work with cutting edge modern Business Intelligence (BI) Tools to deliver data visualizations and AI enhanced predictions.
• Collect and understand data to extract value and communicate it both visually and verbally to senior leaders and key stakeholders throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to design and create user accepted dashboards. Bring value add contributions to the process of designed and authoring executive level dashboards and reports.
• Design analytics and reporting deliverables, especially around data visualization best practices and creation.
• Perform data abstraction, cleansing, validation, modeling, interpretation and reporting.
• Play an active role in business reviews, especially in reviewing analytical findings and in strategic planning discussions.
• Support the extraction of actionable information and align with business objectives. Ensure solutions meet the buss needs.
• Consult on all data-related solutions (i.e. program design, report design, data feed design, data aggregation, etc.).
• Be an integral part of a larger BI Analysis Team by mentoring team members.
• Collaborate with division leaders and department SMEs to define routine reporting needs, determine the best method to fulfill these needs, design reports or provide report specifications to other areas as appropriate and deliver analytical solutions for strategic use.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Finance, Marketing, Computer Science or Business Preferred
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with analysis Preferred
  • Experience writing BI expressive language like DAX or SAQL Required
  • Life insurance experience Preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to perform a variety of advanced calculations and apply data to solve problems associated with the financial aspects of business
  • Ability to interpret data to help in enterprise strategic decision making
  • Self-directed, can interpret data to understand trends and derive meaningful business insights for executives with little oversight
  • Expertise in developing Tableau, Power BI or Salesforce Einstein solutions using best practices
  • Experience manipulating large data sets leveraging and Data Wrangling, pulling data from data warehouses, marts and lakes.
  • Comfortable in an Agile environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently while also enjoying collaboration with cross-functional teams and other analysts
  • Effective communication skills and ability to translate numbers into a story
  • Professional and positive demeanor

Salary Range Information
USD $69,324.00 - USD $115,540.00 /Yr. Range includes data points from multiple labor markets. Specific range is dependent on the labor market where the incumbent will be hired to perform the position. Starting salary is dependent on candidate qualifications and experience. For a narrower salary range specific to your labor market, please inquire.
