Job description

We're recruiting a Senior Compensation Analyst for a leading financial services organization seeking an experienced compensation professional to support the development, analysis, and implementation of compensation and performance programs within a collaborative and high-performing HR team.
  • Location: Glendale, CA (100% onsite)
  • Salary: $100,000-$150,000 + bonus

Responsibilities
  • Support the annual performance management and compensation planning processes, including merit planning, incentive programs, system enhancements, and related communications.
  • Provide compensation guidance and analysis for hiring, promotions, transfers, retention initiatives, and other employee compensation decisions.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to evaluate the competitiveness and internal equity of compensation programs.
  • Review compensation trends and external market data and translate findings into actionable recommendations for HR and business leaders.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of salary structures, job levels, job families, career frameworks, and compensation guidelines.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and compensation leadership on compensation projects, including program development, financial analysis, budgeting, and implementation.
  • Monitor changes to applicable compensation, payroll, and employment regulations and help ensure programs remain compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline compensation processes, improve systems, and implement more effective practices.
  • Serve as a trusted compensation resource to HR and business partners, providing thoughtful guidance on compensation-related matters.
  • Manage multiple compensation projects and priorities while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses and support additional compensation initiatives as business needs arise.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive compensation experience, with a broad understanding of job evaluation, market pricing, compensation surveys, salary structures, job families, career levels, and compensation programs.
  • Strong understanding of compensation practices, market data, incentive programs, and salary administration.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical, quantitative, and data interpretation capabilities.
  • Highly detail-oriented and comfortable working with sensitive information while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Strong business judgment with the ability to connect detailed compensation analysis to broader organizational objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively consult, influence, and partner with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Experience working in a professional corporate environment; financial services or banking experience is a plus.
  • Mandarin or Cantonese language skills are strongly preferred. Candidates without language skills may also be considered if they have experience working in an Asian-focused or multicultural business environment.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation is a plus.
