Compensation Manager

About the role

Are you a compensation professional who thrives on using data, market insights, and strategic thinking to drive business decisions? The Compensation Manager plays a critical role in designing, managing, and enhancing compensation programs that are competitive, equitable, and aligned with organizational goals.

Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards, you will manage the global compensation framework and lead key compensation processes including sales incentives, annual incentive programs, market pricing, salary structures, job evaluation, and compensation governance across multiple countries. You'll partner closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders to provide analytical insights and compensation guidance that support employee attraction, retention, and engagement

What you'll be doing

As a member of the Total Rewards team, you'll be responsible for managing compensation programs and supporting strategic reward initiatives across the organization. Your responsibilities will include:

Compensation Strategy & Program Management

  • Manage the global compensation framework, including salary structures, job architecture, pay ranges, and compensation governance
  • Conduct market pricing and benchmarking analysis using external survey data and internal pay insights
  • Provide recommendations on pay competitiveness, internal equity, compensation trends, and incentive effectiveness
  • Monitor global compensation practices and regulatory developments to ensure compliance and sound governance
  • Support the Director, Total Rewards with executive compensation activities and board preparation
  • Manage compensation vendor relationships, including survey providers and external advisers
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve compensation processes, controls, and reporting capabilities

Incentive Plan Design & Administration

  • Lead the design, administration, and ongoing management of sales incentive plans across applicable business areas and markets
  • Manage annual incentive processes, including eligibility assessments, target setting, performance inputs, payout modeling, approvals, and communication plans
  • Review incentive plan effectiveness and recommend improvements to alignment, governance, and performance outcomes
  • Support stakeholders with incentive-related reporting, analysis, and decision-making

Compensation Analytics & Reporting

  • Conduct compensation modeling and analysis to support strategic workforce decisions
  • Maintain compensation data accuracy across HRIS, planning tools, incentive files, and reporting outputs
  • Prepare compensation reports and dashboards to provide insights on pay movement, competitiveness, and internal equity
  • Develop and maintain compensation process documentation, guidance materials, and stakeholder communications
  • Audit compensation data and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance

Stakeholder Partnership & Advisory Support

  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Finance, People Operations, Sales Leadership, and business leaders to resolve compensation questions and support decision-making
  • Provide compensation guidance to managers and leaders regarding salary decisions, incentive programs, and pay practices
  • Translate complex compensation data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders
  • Build strong working relationships across international markets and business functions

Continuous Improvement & Governance

  • Strengthen compensation governance and documentation to ensure consistency across global operations
  • Improve compensation reporting and analytics capabilities
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local pay regulations, including pay transparency, pay equity, salary range disclosure, and compensation-related reporting requirements
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as required to support organizational objectives

What you'll bring

Think you could make a difference here? We're looking for someone who brings deep compensation expertise, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders across a complex global organization. You will also bring some of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of compensation experience, including ownership of compensation programs, frameworks, and analytical deliverables
  • Demonstrated experience managing sales incentive and annual incentive plans
  • International compensation experience across multiple countries, currencies, and regulatory environments
  • Strong understanding of compensation frameworks, job evaluation methodologies, market pricing, salary structures, and governance practices
  • Advanced Excel and analytical capabilities, including modeling, trend analysis, and data auditing
  • Experience working with HRIS and compensation planning tools; Workday experience preferred
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to explain technical compensation concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and navigate within a complex matrixed organization
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process optimization and operational excellence
