About the Opportunity

This opportunity is for experienced HR professionals and senior people leaders to contribute their subject-matter expertise to a cutting-edge AI research and evaluation project with Mercor.

You'll use your expertise in talent management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, workforce planning, HR compliance, and organizational development to develop realistic HR scenarios and evaluation content for advanced AI systems.

The role focuses on creating expert-level tasks, reference outputs, and evaluation rubrics that help AI models develop practical, senior-level HR judgment rather than relying on generic textbook knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Create realistic HR scenarios covering talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, and organizational development.
  • Develop evaluation tasks based on complex, real-world HR and workforce challenges.
  • Create reference materials including HR policies, investigation reports, compensation analyses, workforce plans, and organizational design proposals.
  • Apply established HR methodologies such as workforce planning, compensation benchmarking, and employee relations investigation.
  • Evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy, reasoning quality, compliance, and practical applicability.
  • Develop scenarios involving HR technology such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, applicant tracking systems, and compensation benchmarking platforms.
  • Apply relevant employment-law standards, including Title VII, FLSA, ADA, state employment laws, the UK Employment Rights Act, and EU labor directives, where applicable.
  • Create detailed evaluation rubrics that distinguish authentic senior-level HR judgment from superficial or generic responses.
  • Identify gaps, errors, unsupported assumptions, and weaknesses in AI-generated HR outputs.
  • Collaborate with project teams and other subject-matter experts to refine task quality and evaluation standards.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience as an HR leader, senior HR professional, Chief People Officer, or HR consultant.
  • Experience working in a large organization or established HR consulting environment.
  • Direct experience owning or managing talent programs, employee relations matters, workforce planning, compensation, or organizational development initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of HR methodologies and employment-law compliance.
  • Ability to analyze complex workforce situations and make sound, practical HR judgments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical ability.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as an HR leader, VP/CHRO, or senior HR consultant at a major organization or consulting firm.
  • Experience with Mercer, Korn Ferry, or similar HR consulting environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ATS platforms, or compensation benchmarking tools.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment regulations, including Title VII, FLSA, ADA, and state employment law, or international employment regulations such as the UK Employment Rights Act and EU labor directives.
  • SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or an equivalent international HR credential.
  • Experience developing training materials, evaluation frameworks, rubrics, or professional HR documentation.
  • Previous experience working with AI training, model evaluation, or technology-driven HR projects is a plus.

Compensation

  • Competitive compensation of $70โ€“$80/hour.
  • Hourly contract engagement.
  • Fully remote opportunity.
  • Opportunity to apply senior HR expertise to next-generation AI training and evaluation.
  • Work on complex, realistic workforce and organizational challenges.

  2. Complete the required screening process
  3. Complete any assigned HR evaluation or assessment task
