Position Summary

Our collaborative Corporate Benefits Team works together with HR professionals across the U.S. to ensure our programs are expertly administered and that our employees are supported through their return-to-work journey. We are looking for a Workers’ Compensation and Leave Program Manager to oversee our multi-state workers’ compensation, state and local leave programs. Manage our workers’ compensation vendor-partner, coach HR on leave administration and drive special projects to resolution. 

This Program Manager partners with our workers’ compensation third-party administrator and U.S. HR professionals to proactively support our injured workers, promote return to work and advise HR on accurate administration of our integrated Workers Compensation, short- and long-term disability benefits, FMLA and state leave programs.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
  • Serve as Workers' Compensation and leave (FMLA, ADA, sick leave, STD, LTD and personal leaves) Subject Matter Expert. Provide guidance and regulatory interpretation of PACCAR programs to HR administrators in PACCAR’s manufacturing, warehouse and office settings.
  • Manage service delivery of workers compensation vendor, including resolution of field HR’s needs and escalated claims.
  • Complete and file reports required by states’ worker’s compensation governing agencies, internal purposes and for audit compliance.
  • Review, maintain and distribute statutorily required Workers’ Compensation notifications.
  • Monitor and plan adoption of statutory leave laws, make recommendations for policy changes, and maintain policy documents related to leave.
  • Complete data analytics to understand program performance.
  • Develop and conduct training for HR professionals. Train field HR staff on use of vendor systems and PACCAR practices.
  • Lead other related projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in workers' compensation, multi-state leave administration or related field
  • Understanding of legal, regulatory compliance and reporting requirements for multi-state Workers' Compensation programs, state leave laws and FMLA
  • Advanced Excel skills with data analytics aptitude
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, including Senior Management in both verbal and written format 
  • Detail-oriented, organized and ability to manage projects successfully in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Ability to have strategic and hands-on approach to program oversight
  • Self-started with professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and lead teams, projects and processes
Education
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field required
  • Masters degree preferred
