What are compensation and benefits?

Compensation and benefits refer to the total rewards that employees receive in exchange for their work. Compensation typically includes salary, wages, bonuses, and incentives, while benefits cover non-wage perks such as health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other employee services. Effective compensation and benefits programs help organizations remain competitive in the job market and contribute to overall employee satisfaction.
