Job description

Job Description: The Workers Compensation Administrator provides technical workers’ compensation oversight for client companies locations across multiple states. This position works closely with Risk Manager, Risk and Claims Coordinator, Account Managers, HR Consultants, and third-party vendors to make certain that workers’ compensation claims are being handled in accordance with state laws and company policies and procedures. This position also assists our team with the MA PFML claims process and with our clients and their employees. If you are looking for a career path, this is the position for you. Essential Duties:• Answer telephone calls in a professional and timely manner. This involves taking messages or directing calls to appropriate personnel, answering general questions from clients, customers, and others; meet & greet visitors.• Review and process large volume of insurance certificate requests in detail for accuracy process and issue waivers and credits.• Process additional insured forms and review contract insurance requirements as needed. • Detail oriented with data input and ability to successfully communicate with clients, insurance personnel, and management both verbally and in writing. • Assist account managers and others in administrative support including but not limited to processing endorsements to policies, checking/binding policies, downloading policy forms; assisting in new business and renewal support, and any other miscellaneous tasks as assigned. • Provide exceptional service and support to our customer service and accounting teams. • Works with Risk and Claims Coordinator, Risk Manager, and third-party administrator to successfully return injured worker to work.• Provides support to Risk and Claims Coordinator and Manager of Risk and Workers' Compensation.• Participates in monthly and quarterly claim review meetings. Works within a team environment to accomplish departmental goals.• Reports injuries and inputs new injuries into system as needed.• Investigates all reported claims, reports red flags to handling adjusters, pursues claim denials, and collects statements from Client Company, Account Managers, and any witnesses.• Assists our clients and their employees with their claims from the MA PFML• Monitors and responds to mail and email daily, follows up appropriately and in a timely matter.• Responsible to send out safety information and communicate injury reporting procedures• Enforces Return-to-Work program to avoid lost time.• Maintains work status with reported claim information, tracking of light duty days, lost time days and injury details, daily monitoring.• Maintains OSHA Logs for caseload.• Complies with state specific workers’ compensation requirements such as providing necessary documentation to process a claim.• Responsible for administrative functions, including but not limited to scanning, creating, and maintaining workers’ compensation files.• Assists with special projects.• Increased awareness and use of various reporting metrics to influence productive and efficient work processes.Requirements: • 2 years of previous experience in a customer support role, preferably in an HR department or call center• Associates or bachelor’s degree desired• Strong Computer skills; including Excel, Word and Adobe.• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Additional Information: Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Flexible spending account Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance $16.00 - $18.00
