The Community Services Supervisor provides supervision and support to Community Services staff and oversees the operations of client service delivery in the community services program. This position ensures consistent application of program policies, compliance with funding requirements, and effective service delivery. The Supervisor is responsible for staff supervision and development, program oversight, and participation in budget development and monitoring. The role also collaborates with internal departments and community partners to support coordinated service delivery and continuous improvement of client services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
The essential functions of this position require prioritizing and completing all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner, adjusting for changing priorities and availability of resources, and demonstrating initiative in identifying additional job-related tasks to be completed when time permits. These duties are a representative example of position expectations. Actual duties assigned may vary and change depending on the business needs of the department and the agency.
- Oversee program operations to ensure services are delivered in accordance with agency policies, funding requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of departmental policies, procedures, and service delivery standards.
- Manage and monitor program funding to ensure cost control and expenditure goals.
- Review and approve invoices and payment requests to ensure compliance with agency policies and funding requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of program requirements, funding guidelines, and compliance standards.
- Provide guidance and support in resolving complex client issues, including escalation and service barriers.
- Support staff development through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to support coordinated service delivery and community engagement.
- Participate in agency outreach and community engagement activities, including warming centers, the Point-in-Time Count, and community tabling events.

- Hold employees accountable for safe, productive, and policy-compliant work performance by providing regular supervision, coaching, feedback, documentation, and performance evaluations.
- Perform routine supervisory responsibilities in accordance with established timelines and organizational requirements, including conducting supervisory meetings and approving timesheets and leave requests.
- Communicate in a professional, respectful and courteous manner with all employees, clients, the Board of Directors, and others with whom we may work.
