About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Community Relations Director to lead marketing and outreach efforts, manage prospective resident relationships, and strengthen community connections. This role combines marketing, event planning, and relationship management to ensure high-quality resident experiences and visibility in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage prospects from initial inquiry to move-in; conduct tours and re-tours

  • Able to receive/return routine phone calls from from Weatherly Inn within 24 hours; urgent within 4
  • Coordinate with care providers and referral agencies

  • Maintain accurate and current data-base of potential candidates
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute community events and advertising campaigns

  • Utilize social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram) to promote programs and services

  • Develop and manage department budgets

  • Serve as liaison for external groups booking facilities

  • Attend local health-related and civic organization meetings

  • Maintain building and grounds for optimal “curb appeal” and report needed repairs or unsafe conditions to maintenance

  • Support marketing team and management initiatives; perform other duties as assigned

  • Strive to maintain an average census of 95%
Qualifications
  • GED or High School Diploma required; College degree in Marketing, Management, or related field preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, community relations, or similar role

  • Food Handlers certification required (within 14 days)

  • Washington State Driver’s License

  • Proficient in social media, graphic design, and writing press/news releases

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills

Physical Requirements
  • Lift/carry up to 25 lbs; push 250 lbs in wheelchair or cart

  • Sit, stand, walk, squat, bend, and perform repetitive arm/hand movements
