We are currently looking for an experienced Community Relations Director to work full-time within our Independent Living community of The Wesleyan. Proven lead generation experience within a residential or senior living community, along with a strong relationship-based approach to driving occupancy, an in-depth knowledge of navigating the complexities of senior living, and a passion for ensuring prospective residents find a welcoming place to call home as they enter a new season of life will be essential to your success as a Community Relations Director at The Wesleyan.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Builds a pipeline of prospective residents through a relationship-based sales approach.
  • Participates in local and surrounding community events as a representative of The Wesleyan.
  • Responds to all telephone and website inquiries related to prospective residents and their family members.
  • Schedules and conducts tours of the community with prospective residents.
  • Coordinates with internal departments to ensure apartments are prepared for new resident move-in.
  • Responsible for maintaining census at or above budgeted targets.
  • Assists in the creation, modification, and implementation of marketing plans in support of census goals, ensuring materials are consistent with agreed-upon branding strategy.
  • Assists with executing all communications activities and public relations in ways that are consistent with The Wesleyan brand.
  • Assists with and utilizes The Wesleyan's online presence (web and social media) to improve social media reputation and public recognition in support of the goals of The Wesleyan.
  • Assists in developing annual marketing, promotion, and advertising budgets.
  • Acts as an ambassador of The Wesleyan and as a spokesperson as needed.
  • Exhibits and demonstrates a complete commitment to the philosophy of the organization and those it serves.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, business or other related field is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of marketing and/or communications.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in senior living, healthcare and/or a non-profit, mission-based organization preferred.
  • Proven experience in lead-generation marketing with a strong relationship-based approach to driving occupancy.
  • Must be highly relational and able to relate to people in a manner that gains their confidence, support, and understanding.
  • Lead with a servant-minded approach to all aspects of the job.
  • Possess a passion for working within a senior living community!
