Marketing & Community Engagement Manager
Location: Melber, Kentucky
Department: Development & Marketing
Reports To: Director of Development & Marketing
Status: Full-Time
Position Summary:
New Pathways for Children is seeking a creative, organized, and mission-driven Marketing & Community Engagement Manager to lead the day-to-day execution of the ministry's marketing, communications, donor stewardship, community engagement, and special events.
Working closely with the Director of Development & Marketing, this position will implement marketing strategies, manage communication initiatives, execute fundraising campaigns, coordinate ministry events, and strengthen relationships with donors, churches, businesses, volunteers, and community partners. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys managing multiple projects, communicating with excellence, and helping tell the story of New Pathways in ways that inspire others to support the mission.
Primary Responsibilities:
Marketing & Communications
  • Execute the ministry's marketing and communications strategy.
  • Manage website content and social media.
  • Develop newsletters, campaign materials, donor communications, and ministry resources.
  • Maintain the annual marketing and fundraising campaign calendar.
  • Coordinate photography, video, storytelling, and media opportunities.
  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all communications.

Community Engagement & Events
  • Coordinate the Bill Morgan Memorial Golf Scramble, Annual Benefit Dinner, and other ministry events.
  • Support locally hosted fundraising events such as Trivia Nights and church-led initiatives.
  • Coordinate volunteers, vendors, sponsorship recognition, event communications, and logistics.
  • Support church engagement opportunities and community presentations.

Donor Stewardship & Communications
  • Manage donor acknowledgements and stewardship communications.
  • Coordinate recurring donor stewardship initiatives.
  • Prepare donor reports, mailing lists, and stewardship materials.
  • Oversee the ministry's Tribute Giving program, including memorial acknowledgements and funeral home relationships.
  • Support sponsorship recognition and fulfillment.

Development Systems & Project Management
  • Manage department calendars, campaign timelines, and project workflows.
  • Assist with grant research, proposal development, grant writing, reporting, and post-award administration.
  • Maintain donor database accuracy and generate reports.
  • Support fundraising campaigns and department projects.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate combines strong marketing and communication skills with exceptional organization, initiative, and a heart for Christian ministry.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, public relations, event management, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Technology Experience
Experience with, or willingness to learn, the ministry's software platforms, including:
