Division Information

PACCAR's Information Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA, utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector.

The Role

PACCAR's Information Technology Division is seeking a motivated Communications Intern to support internal communications, multimedia content development, and digital asset organization.

This internship provides hands-on experience working alongside communications professionals and IT leadership, with opportunities to contribute to high-visibility projects, events, and communications initiatives across ITD.

As a Communications Intern, you will:

  • Gain practical experience supporting corporate communications strategies and campaigns
  • Work directly with communications leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Build skills in multimedia content creation, digital asset management, and event support
  • Contribute to real-world projects that improve communication and employee engagement

Job Responsibilities

 
  • Support development of internal communications materials, including presentations, event posters, and digital content
  • Assist with photography needs, including event coverage, employee headshots, and photo editing
  • Organize and maintain ITD's digital asset library, including scanning and archiving historical photos
  • Help improve and maintain SharePoint sites and content organization (e.g., team sites and asset libraries)
  • Assist with coordinating and promoting an ITD-wide event calendar, including gathering input from teams and supporting process development
  • Contribute to communications projects and meetings, including supporting leadership presentations and internal campaigns
  • Provide general project and administrative support to enhance communications processes and team efficiency

Required Work Experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative mindset with interest in design, storytelling, and digital media
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint); familiarity with SharePoint is a plus
  • Experience or interest in photography, video production, or Adobe Creative Cloud is preferred

Education

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Communications, Marketing, Multimedia, Graphic Design, or a related field
