Job Summary

The Senior Account Manager will lead commercial activities in the state of Maryland and Delaware. As a Senior Account Manager, you will partner to contribute to our company goals and customer needs. In this position, you will be responsible for developing key customers and increasing the assigned territory's customer base. You will also extensively build customer relationships and provide all-around support to our customers. You will use existing knowledge and continue to build familiarity of drug product development pipelines, including cell and gene therapy, vaccines, antibodies, and small molecules.

Essential Functions

  • Build relationships with scientists in academia, biotech, and pharmaceutical companies
  • Understand customer research goals and recommend appropriate reagents and solutions
  • Conduct customer meetings (virtual and in-person) to discuss scientific applications
  • Collaborate with internal teams including marketing and technical support
  • Participate in conferences, seminars, and networking events
  • Manage and grow a defined territory within Maryland and Delaware
  • Travel within territory (approximately 30–50%)

Minimum Qualifications – Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, or related field
  • Hands-on experience with protein-based assays (e.g., ELISA, FACS, SPR, BLI)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Interest in transitioning into a commercial or customer-facing role
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow

Preferred Qualifications – Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree or above in a related field. 
  • Previous experience in cell and gene therapy, immunology, or antibody therapeutics field
  • Industry research experience (2-5 years)
