Job description

About the Role

We are hiring a high-activity B2B Outside Sales Representative to drive growth for Sauce, a profitable online ordering and delivery platform built specifically for independent restaurants.

This is a field-based sales role focused on daily face-to-face conversations with restaurant owners and operators. The right person will be comfortable walking into restaurants, starting business conversations, identifying pain points, and helping owners reduce excessive third-party delivery commissions while improving profitability.

You will work assigned zip codes and targeted restaurant lists, meeting directly with independent restaurants and small restaurant groups to introduce Sauce’s commission-free ordering and delivery platform.

This is a hunter role. Success comes from consistent daily activity, resilience, strong communication, and the ability to turn field visits into qualified conversations, demos, and new accounts.

Compensation

Base annualized salary + uncapped commissions.  Total annual compensation "at plan" is $80,000+.

Responsibilities

  • Visit targeted independent restaurants and small restaurant groups daily
  • Conduct face-to-face business conversations with owners and operators
  • Present Sauce’s commission-free ordering and delivery platform
  • Identify pain points related to third-party delivery fees, profitability, customer ownership, and online ordering
  • Handle objections around cost, contracts, technology, and change management
  • Close new accounts
  • Maintain accurate pipeline activity and sales notes in the CRM
  • Represent Sauce professionally and build its brand in the local market

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistently meeting or exceeding monthly sales targets
  • Strong daily field activity and disciplined territory execution
  • Consistent conversion of field visits into qualified conversations, demos, and closed accounts
  • Clear documentation of all sales activity in the CRM
  • Confident conversations with restaurant owners and decision-makers
  • A hunter mindset with the resilience to handle rejection and keep moving

Qualifications

  • Bilingual Spanish/English REQUIRED
  • 1–5 years of B2B sales experience preferred
  • Field sales, route sales, or outside sales experience preferred
  • Experience selling to small business owners strongly preferred
  • Restaurant, hospitality, or restaurant technology experience preferred
  • Comfortable walking into businesses and initiating conversations
  • Reliable transportation and ability to manage a field-based territory
  • Ability to work during key restaurant decision-maker windows, including late mornings, afternoons, and occasional early evenings
  • Ability to use a CRM and other sales tools to track activity and manage pipeline
  • Resilient, competitive, coachable, and comfortable working under performance expectations
  • Strong communication skills and professional presence

Preferred Backgrounds

  • Restaurant technology, independent restaurant sales or restaurant operations, beverage or food distribution, merchant services, POS systems, telecom or business internet, other field-based B2B sales roles serving small businesses

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated outside sales professional who enjoys being in the field, talking to business owners, and building a territory from the ground up. You should be comfortable with rejection, motivated by performance goals, and excited by the opportunity to help independent restaurants improve profitability.
