NPORT Staffing, in partnership with the New York City Department of Education, provides healthcare solutions to schools across all five boroughs. We are seeking compassionate, professional, and highly skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) to serve as on-site trip nurses, accompanying students to museums, parks, movies, and other iconic locations throughout NYC.

Position Summary:

As a school-based trip nurse, you will provide direct nursing care during student field trips, ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of students while they explore the city. You will be a critical member of the school community, responding to emergencies and health needs in real-time and supporting the students' educational experiences outside the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first aid and nursing care to students during school trips and off-site activities.
  • Respond to emergencies and manage acute and chronic conditions while traveling.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school policies
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student health concerns.
  • Travel with groups to multiple NYC locations, ensuring safety and health standards are maintained.
  • Support health education and wellness initiatives as needed during trips

Qualifications:

  • Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred; school health or pediatric experience a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric and adolescent health.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, adapt to changing environments, and manage multiple assignments on the go.
