Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physician Assistant I or II to join our robotics team as first assist for general surgery, thoracic, colorectal, hepatobiliary, and surgical oncology. The ideal candidate will have experience and expertise in providing comprehensive care for patients undergoing robotic surgery procedures with first assist experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with our team of surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients undergoing robotic surgeries.
  • Perform pre-operative evaluations, assist in surgical procedures, and provide post-operative care to patients.
  • Participate in patient education and counseling regarding their condition, treatment options, and post-operative care.
  • Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives and research projects within the surgery department.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Active licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Maryland (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Physician Assistant in general surgery or a related field.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of robotic surgical techniques and minimally invasive procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and provide compassionate care to patients.

Salary Range: Minimum 60.93/hour - Maximum 94.45/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
