Fence Estimator

Pay: $41,995 plus Commission

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fence Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project requirements, preparing comprehensive cost estimates, and collaborating with clients to ensure successful project execution. Your expertise will help drive profitable projects by providing precise pricing, managing bids, and supporting project management from initial conception through completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality fencing projects across diverse construction sites, ensuring efficiency and cost control at every stage. Pay is hourly plus a competitive commission pay based off of customer accepted estimates.

Responsibilities

  • Review project plans, specifications, and site conditions to develop accurate fence estimates.
  • Conduct site visits to assess terrain, access points, and potential challenges impacting fencing installation.
  • Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors through effective negotiation to secure competitive pricing.
  • Prepare comprehensive cost breakdowns covering materials, labor, equipment, and other project expenses.
  • Assist in contract negotiations and review contractual terms related to fencing projects.
  • Support project management teams by providing timely estimates that align with project scope and budget constraints.
  • Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgets and identify areas for cost control.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on fencing or related trades is a PLUS but not required
  • Previous intermediate experience with sales
  • Strong knowledge of construction management principles and site operations
  • Familiarity with construction contracts, project management processes, and cost control strategies
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and vendors
  • Hands-on construction site experience is highly desirable to understand field challenges thoroughly
  • Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately

Sales Experience: 1 year (Preferred)

Requirements:

  • Ability to speak fluent English (bi-ingual is a plus)
  • Ability to commute to Harvest, AL
  • Ability to work M-F (min 40 hours) - Occassional Sat
  • Ability to work outside
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle - 90% local, 10% within (2) hours
  • Current and unencumbered valid drivers license
  • Ability to meet insurance requirements
