Summary / Objective

The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for fabricating projects through precision welding of steel and aluminum components.

Essential Functions

  • Read and interpret blueprints, graphics, work orders, technical drawings, and other construction documentation to fabricate a quality project.
  • Fabricate and weld metal components using various welding techniques.
  • Measure and mark materials for cutting and shaping.
  • Operate fabrication equipment including welding torches, plasma cutters, grinders, and other hand tools.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure finished products meet specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on fabrication equipment.
  • Operate heavy machinery including tractors, forklifts, and skid steers, as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Assist Shop Foreman with warehouse organization, inventory, and other various projects.

Travel
This position sometimes requires weekend work, overtime and travel. Employees who work overtime are paid time and a half and employees who travel overnight are granted per diem.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of related industry experience.
  • Current and valid welding certification.
