Field Superintendent - Modernization
Your main responsibilities

The Candidate will be required to manage field technicians in the day-to-day operations of the installation of hydraulic, gearless and geared elevator modernizations. Actively participate in field surveys for prospective modernization projects and be involved in the preparation of modernization proposals and bids. Must be able to determine the scope of work required and manpower needed to complete the project in a timely and profitable manner.

Additional responsibilities include: 

    • Build a team environment by leading field technicians
    • Manage training and development of field technicians on established processes, tools and standards
    • Foster excellent communication among team members while maintaining good working relationships with the local union
    • Assure that each modernization project meets Company quality and safety standards, as well as all contract requirements.
    • Monitor job completion and drive efficiency
    • Implement customer and Company requirements for quality, performance reliability and passenger safety for modernization projects
    • Support the local sales team in estimating modernization bids and investigating and resolving customer complaints
    • Develop a spirit of teamwork and dedication to quality among all employees
    • Participate in Company professional development programs to enhance working knowledge of Elevator Company products, services and procedures 

Base Salary $113,400 - $141,700

The above represents the typical salary range for this position. Revisions to the range may be considered based on your experience, education, location, demonstrated skills, and alignment with business priorities. Please note that the compensation listed reflects only base salary and does not include commissions or longer-term incentives.

 
What you bring
  • Bachelor's degree preferred OR 3 years of technical experience in the elevator industry or related field. 
  • Experience in installation and service of elevators/escalators preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience with a unionized workforce is preferred.
  • Computer proficiency required. Experience in Microsoft Office suite software and SAP is preferred.
  • Must have ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
