About the Role:
Banton Elevator LLC is looking for a skilled Elevator Mechanic to join our team in the tri-state area! This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of elevator systems, keeping buildings moving safely and efficiently. If you're a hands-on professional who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair elevator and lift systems in residential and commercial buildings
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on hydraulic and traction elevator systems
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions and implement effective repairs
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Ensure all work complies with NYC elevator codes, safety regulations, and ASME A17.1 standards
  • Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work performed
Requirements:
  • Valid NYC Elevator Mechanic License 
  • Experience in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of elevator systems
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
  • OSHA Card required 
  • Clean Driver's License
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Monday through Friday position (From 8:00 am to 4:30 pm), and overtime hours are required weekly
