Be the First Point of Care as a Behavioral Health Scheduler Schedule: M-F, Between the hours of 7a-5p As a Behavioral Health Scheduler, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our clients' access to timely, person-centered behavioral health services. As the first voice many of our clients hear, you’ll help create a welcoming experience—ensuring appointments are scheduled accurately, client information is up to date, and communication flows seamlessly between team members. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and enjoys making a difference through exceptional customer service and attention to detail. You’ll support a compassionate team of providers and be a key player in delivering accessible, integrated care. Key Responsibilities Answer high volume of incoming calls and assist clients with scheduling, rescheduling, and general inquiries Schedule appointments for multiple behavioral health providers across various locations Verify and update client information, including contact details and insurance Explain the Open Access process to clients seeking to begin services Accurately document call details and update the care team accordingly Coordinate interpreters when needed for scheduled appointments Follow up with clients who missed appointments to assist with rescheduling Manage Psychiatry Provider schedule changes, cancellations, and backfilling appointments Collaborate with front desk and department staff to ensure scheduling accuracy Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA compliance at all times Education, Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise • High School/GED preferred Preferred Experience: • Experience with behavioral health scheduling preferred • Experience with multi-line phone systems preferred You’ll Be A Great Fit for This Role if You: Excel at communicating clearly and kindly, especially over the phone Stay calm and organized in a high-call-volume setting Are detail-oriented and confident working across multiple systems and screens Value teamwork and collaboration with clinical and administrative staff Take pride in delivering an excellent experience for every client Bring a positive, professional attitude and a commitment to helping others
