Role and Responsibilities


The Behavioral Health / Medical Scheduler is responsible for taking inbound calls and making outbound calls to potential clients placed on a Clinic’s worklist/waitlist to gather additional critical information and start the insurance verification process. They offer practical assistance to potential clients, such as providing additional information to them, gathering insurance information and verifying insurance with various health plans. They must be able to work independently, but also function as a team member, providing high quality services to our clients. Employees of Entune Behavioral Health must value close collaboration with internal staff, clients, payors, and other stakeholders.

  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, Dayshift (8am - 5pm)
  • On Site Full time

The Scheduler responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining confidentiality of records aligning with HIPAA requirements
  • Assess for high risk/high acuity needs and collaborates a warm hand-off to a Behavioral Health Professional
  • Maintain client-related paperwork (billing, BH screeners, progress notes, contact notes, and other required forms)
  • Exceptional Customer service
  • Answering and routing calls as appropriate
  • Daily outbound calls to potential clients
  • Engage with multiple payors and their interfaces
  • Attend inter-disciplinary meetings with various departments of Sunbelt Healthcare
  • Additional responsibilities as appropriate.
Requirements:

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma (required)
  • Current CPR / AED / First Aid
  • 3-years of experience with Medical Scheduling highly preferred
  • Bilingual (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and applications
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of integrated healthcare delivery models (preferred)
