Overview:
Out client is seeking a high-impact Sales Manager to lead the development and growth of the wide format business across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Reporting directly to the EVP of Sales, this role is a critical leadership position within the organization and is responsible for establishing them as the market leader for wide format horizontal cutting solutions in North America.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Market Leadership
  • Own the North American wide format sales strategy for horizontal cutting solutions under the direction of the EVP of Sales
  • Drive direct revenue through active customer engagement while developing the long-term sales infrastructure for the horizontal vertical market
  • Establish territory coverage, account strategy, and pipeline discipline aligned with EVP-led forecasting and operating cadence
  • Identify and develop opportunities across wide format graphics, signage, display, and industrial applications, with crossover into corrugated, commercial print, labels, and packaging

Customer & Partner Engagement
  • Serve as the executive-facing subject-matter expert for wide format solutions
  • Conduct high-level customer presentations, on-site evaluations, and executive briefings
  • Collaborate with applications, service, and operations teams to ensure customer success and strong post-sale outcomes

Leadership, Reporting & Team Development
  • Operate as the vertical leader within EVP-led sales organization
  • Provide regular updates, forecasts, and strategic recommendations directly to the Executive Vice President of Sales
  • Partner with the Executive Vice President of Sales to define hiring plans, coverage models, and growth milestones for the wide format team
  • Mentor and support future sales team members as the vertical scales
  • Deliver structured market feedback to guide executive decisions on investment, staffing, and product focus

Travel Expectations
  • Travel will exceed 70% initially, focused on customer acquisition, territory development, and market education
  • Travel requirements are expected to decrease as additional sales and support resources are added under this vertical
  • Travel will be across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico

Requirements and Qualifications
  • 7+ years of capital equipment sales experience, preferably in wide format, laser or knife cutting, digital finishing, or industrial automation
  • Proven success selling complex, high-value technical solutions
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to engage executive, technical, and operational stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience building or scaling a market, product line, or territory
  • Direct experience with horizontal cutting systems, laser cutting, or routing technologies
  • Background in wide format graphics, signage, packaging, display, corrugated or industrial applications
  • Exposure to wide format, signage, commercial print, corrugated, labels, or packaging workflows
  • Prior experience hiring, mentoring, or leading sales professionals
  • Experience operating within a distributor-OEM sales model

Compensation and Benefits
  • Base salary of $90 - 110,000 dependent on experience
