Job description

Procurement amp; Logistics Coordinator
Job Description
The Procurement amp; Logistics Coordinator role will research, negotiate, and purchase supplies and services to assist in developing geothermal energy projects. This role will establish the procurement functions of evaluating suppliers, negotiating competitive pricing, providing support for internal systems, working with the accounting department on purchase orders amp; invoicing, and assisting in the logistics for the purchases and receipt of goods/services. The ideal candidate will ensure constant and consistent communication with managers and/or executives to meet strategic deadlines throughout the project.
Essential Functions:
  • Prepare request for quotes (RFQ) based on Project Management requirements.
  • Negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, schedule, quality of goods, expectations, etc.
  • Create purchase orders based on requisitions and scopes of work
  • Evaluate supplier proposals to identify nonconformity to RFQ.
  • Work closely with the management across the company to understand details of procurement and contract requirements
  • Manage the procurement aspects in the project RFQ process, commercial bid evaluation, purchase order (PO) award and administration to the final delivery of goods/service and PO close out.
  • Establish relationships with preferred suppliers and understand their current workloads and capabilities.
  • Provide support to project cost controls in procurement related activities for project POs.
  • Follow up with suppliers after contract award for delivery of materials and relevant documentation
  • Work with Finance to ensure invoices are paid on time based on contract requirements.
  • Analyze invoices to ensure accuracy of goods/services delivered
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Proven experience working in a procurement or sourcing role
  • Understanding of contracts and the ability to interpret them is required
  • Strong data management and organization skills (Excel, NetSuite, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
  • Proven experience assessing and comparing bids for engineering and construction contracts
  • Technical experience in either Industrial, Petrochemical, Power, Drilling setting
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 2+ years procurement and logistics experience in geothermal, construction, or related field
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to communicate with others to exchange information consistently
  • Remains in sedentary position for long periods of time in an office environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 20lbs pounds
  • Must be able to travel as required
