Job description

Property Management: Assistant Director | Licensed Real Estate Agent | $56Kโ€“$58K | Join a Team That Has Your Back

About the Role

Harris McHaney Property Managment, a rental branch of Coldwell Banker Harris McHaney & Faucette Real Estate, is currently hiring a Assistant Director to work directly alongside our Director and support the day-to-day heartbeat of our property management operations. This role is built for a licensed real estate agent who wants more than a transactional job - someone who wants to be part of a team that genuinely supports one another. You'll handle owner and resident communication, pricing strategy, staff accountability, and collections support, all while helping keep the team organized and moving forward together.

Compensation: $56,000โ€“$58,000+ annually

What You'll Do

Calls & Communication

  • Field incoming calls from owners, residents, and vendors that require licensed authority to handle
  • Manage day-to-day questions and concerns coming through the general inbox

Pricing & Market Support

  • Run rental comps and provide owners with informed, data-backed pricing recommendations

Staff Support & Accountability

  • Keep the team aligned on priorities, deadlines, and daily execution
  • Bring clarity to "who's doing what" so nothing falls through the cracks

Time-Off Coordination

  • Review and approve/deny time-off requests for hourly staff

Backup Coverage

  • Step in for the Director when needed - overflow support, coverage, and coordination

Collections Support

  • Track tenant balances and past-due accounts
  • Reach out to tenants regarding unpaid rent
  • Document payment conversations and arrangements
  • Send reminders and notices as directed
  • Prepare delinquent accounts for management review
  • Support the process up until accounts are escalated to formal collections

What You Bring

  • Active real estate license, 2+ years minimum experience
  • Willingness and ability to obtain a broker's license
  • Property management experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, professional phone presence
  • Someone who's organized, accountable, and works well as part of a team

Why You'll Like It Here

We treat our team like family - we show up for each other, communicate openly, and support one another through the busy days and the easy ones. If you're looking for a workplace where your work matters and your team has your back, we'd love to talk.
