Various Shifts. 6-2:30, 6:30-3:00, 7:00-3:30, 9-5:30, 8-4:30, 11-7:30, 11:30-8 and more.

Rotating weekends and Holidays as assigned.

Pay Range:

$19.80 - $29.70

Major Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring that the menu items are correctly prepared according to the standardized recipes and attractively presented
1)Follow standardized recipes for all menu items.
2)Checks the quality and quantity of all items prepared
3)Performs basic production and preparation from menu items
4)Checks tally for items to be prepared for lunch and dinner patient trays.
5)Checks holding areas to determine food items needed for the day. Brings food items of unacceptable quality to the attention of the coordinator and remakes items as needed.
Maintain a safe sanitary work area meeting Board of Health regulations
1)Cleans and sanitizes work area including tables, equipment, utensils, refrigerator units, etc.
2)Dates and rotates all food items to ensure proper utilization and rotation
3)Document temperatures of food and equipment.
4)Attends area and department meetings and inservices.
Assist trayline position
Inventory and stocks supplies to ensure adequate quantities are available for the needs of the are
1)Inventory and stocking of all supplies to ensure adequate supply for the work area.
2)Replenishes, organizes and restores all supplies properly.
Education/Experience Required:
High School or Equivalent. 6 mon-1yr experience in preparing quantity food items preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Good communication skills. Able to interpret and follow recipes.

Able to operate kitchen equipment. Able to access high and low areas. Able to maneuver heavy objects up to 50 pounds. Exposure to hazardous materials and conditions. Able to meet time constraints in a fast - paced environment. Able to perform cleaning tasks. Able to communicate with others.
This requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 08/01/2014. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For lifts over 35 pounds, lifting equipment is expected to be used or lift with at least one other associate when available. Unique lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case by case basis.
