Inductotherm Corp has an exciting opportunity for a School CO-OP to join our Team, onsite in Rancocas, New Jersey.
Job Summary:
This position is part of a structured school-approved Cooperative Education / Structured Learning Experience (SLE/Co-Op) program, designed to provide students with hands-on manufacturing experience.
Candidates will assist with bench assemblies, including putting component and hardware assembly. This role emphasizes skill development, safety, and exposure to manufacturing processes in a controlled learning environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position has no supervisory responsibility.
  • All work is performed under the direct supervision of experienced trades personnel.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Work under the close direction and supervision of senior experienced trades-craftsmen.
  • Assist with the assurance of correct set-up of work.
  • Utilize applicable measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and scales.
  • Layout, measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on material according to drawings or templates, using calculators, scribes, dividers, squares, and rulers.
  • Assist with rework, repair, and modification as directed.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for oneself and co-workers at all times.
  • Perform general housekeeping as required.
  • Will handle miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Participate in training and skill development activities

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Math skills - adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and working with fractions.
  • Ability to read measuring devices - rulers, tape measures, squares, levels, calipers, and formulas.
  • Must be responsible in the handling and care of equipment and tools.
  • Mechanical aptitude - knowledge of various hardware components, including plumbing sizes and fittings.
  • Familiar with reading and comprehend mechanical drawings and wiring schematics.
  • Familiar with principles of soldering, brazing and/or welding, is a plus.

Education, Experience, and Program Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be enrolled in an approved Career & Technical Education (CTE) or vocational program related to manufacturing or machining.
  • Participant in a school-approved Cooperative Education / Structured Learning Experience (SLE/Co-Op) program.
  • Valid New Jersey Employment Certificate (Working Papers) required.

Physical Requirements:
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a CO-OP to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Able to see, have good perception, and distinguish between colors.
  • Able to stand, climb, and bend for 8 hours.
  • Able to lift light to moderate weight.
  • Quick hand and arm movement, or the movement of both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  • Listen to and understand information presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Communicate information and ideas, both written and verbally so others will understand.
  • Must disclose any surgical implants, pins, braces or other devices that could be affected by induction fields.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Salary:
Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications.
Salary Range: $17.00 - $18.00/hour

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
