JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Title: Co-op, Electrical / Computer Engineering

Position Summary:
Co-op opportunity for Electrical/Computer Engineering majors. Electrical/ Computer or Mechatronic Engineering with a dual major or minor in Mechanical Engineering preferred. A co-op in this position will work within the product R&D Centers of Excellence.
Essential Functions:
  • Advanced product concept R&D
  • Test fixture design and fabrication - hardware and software
  • Product validation and troubleshooting in laboratory and vehicle environments
  • Oversee inventory, assembly, and coordination of testing with technicians
  • Software algorithm/HW validation using software and hardware-in-the-loop technologies
  • Product phase reviews, product DFMEAs, and project management
  • Troubleshooting, debug, root cause analysis, resolve equipment reliability issues
  • Special systems and modules design
  • Materials analysis and testing
  • Electronic circuit analysis
  • Product application development, road test, and customer demos
  • Customer and supplier new product development and current support
  • Assist in translating customer requirements into new product
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Currently attending an accredited college or university
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher
  • Design Tools - AutoCad or equivalent, TeamCenter PLM
  • Fluency in English & Spanish is a plus
  • Methods - FMEA, Six Sigma, 5S
  • Computer Operating Systems - Linux, Macintosh, Windows
  • Analysis Tools - MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, Logic Analyzer, Data Loggers, Signal Generator, CAN-based Software Tools
  • Hands-on skills with mechanical tools, shop equipment, and trucks
  • Computer Language - C,C++, JAVA, HTML, Visual Basic
  • Proficient in Microsoftยฎ Office Tools - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
General Information:
  • Hours and Location: 40-hour work week on-site in Avon, Ohio (20 miles west of Cleveland)
  • Pay Rate: $19 - $26/hour (contingent upon credit hours)
