Team Summary
With over 25 manufacturing sites, GAF's Operations Team continues to grow in size and complexity. This program is designed to accelerate the development of recent graduates to leaders, capable of bringing value to our dynamic manufacturing operations network while having the opportunity to make impact by solving complex challenges facing our Manufacturing Operations Function. In GAF's program, the candidate will network with key leaders across the organization and will have the opportunity to work on major projects and product lines at GAF's plants.

Essential Duties
  • As a recent college graduate, you will rotate through various experiential learning opportunities while being anchored to a manufacturing plant location for years 1 and 2 of the experience. The goal will before you to provide immediate impact to the business, gain exposure to leadership and have experiences across various parts of the business within a relatively short time period of 24 months to accelerate your professional growth. Building skills while working alongside various multidiscipline engineers and functional areas of our business will be the focus of this rotational program. The challenges and opportunities throughout the program will be rewarding as the experience lends itself to discovery of your greatest career potential. The pace of the program will be fast and the work highly technical with the end goal being for you and the company to find your next best opportunity within the organization.
  • Rotations will be determined through business needs, candidate interest, and performance outcomes. The positions will be based in one of our Plants across GAF's network . Candidates will have a dedicated leader and mentor to support their development and technical training as they cultivate their leadership and technical skills. Candidates will have the opportunity to establish a network of peers and mentors, have visibility of high-level leadership, and the opportunity to work on projects and initiatives that drive significant value to GAF.
  • The rotation assignments are supplemented by various training courses and experiences throughout the two year program with exposures to both internal & external resources. Training courses provide overviews of the various functions within GAF and follow a robust and interactive curriculum that will further develop competencies such as problem-solving/critical thinking, technical skills, product/process knowledge and leadership capability.
  • The Engineering Rotation Program consists of two (2) rewarding assignments, each one (1) year duration. Candidates will partner with Operations Leadership and the Program Manager to determine best fit, based on business needs and with consideration of the candidate's preference. During each rotation, candidates will be assigned various individual initiatives as well as taking on relevant roles within a Plant Operations Team. Completion of these rotations will prepare the candidate for a successful start as a Process/Project Engineer II.

Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Four-year degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, Manufacturing, SystemsEngineering Required
  • Previous internship or co-op related experience in a manufacturing environment Required
  • Leading process design reviews, raw material qualifications, and capability studies
  • Supporting all plant product, process, and materials trials
  • Developing cost savings opportunities related to process, procedures, raw materials and waste.
  • Proactively identifying engineering opportunities and apply technical expertise to develop and present feasible solutions
  • Leading and/or participating in providing process/mechanical designs and evaluations for capital projects
  • Participating in and supporting product improvement and new product development efforts
  • Specific manufacturing/operations accountabilities as assigned based on engineering discipline expertise
  • Knowledge of manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures

Travel Requirements: 20% Travel up to 20%Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.Base Salary Range: $68,000-$93,500
