LJB Inc. specializes in civil and structural engineering, as well as offering geospatial, safety, health, and environmental services to clients throughout North America. For decades, LJB has been the leading firm for innovation and expertise by providing dually registered engineers and certified safety and health professionals across a wide range of industries and markets.
LJB offers challenging and rewarding assignments for co-op students and summer interns. Students work with experienced engineers and are exposed to a variety of civil engineering challenges. They also get the opportunity to work on real world projects in a professional environment. We are filling a Water Resources Engineering Internship or Co-op in our Dayton, Ohio office.
Pay: $18+ an hour
CIVIL ENGINEERING CO-OP GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be a civil engineering major at an accredited university
  • Must be entering their Junior or Senior year of college
  • Some travel may be required
  • U.S. citizenship required

CIVIL ENGINEERING CO-OP JOB DUTIES:
  • Work on job assignments related to area of engineering discipline focus
  • Perform routine tasks under close supervision using well established standards, procedures and drawings
  • Students will be exposed to design processes as well as various office and field procedures

CIVIL ENGINEERING CO-OP PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • Must be able to travel to various project sites
  • Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas
