Job Summaryย 

As a part-time Closer at Homestead Title Agency, the affiliated title company of Fischer Homes, you will manage residential real estate closing ceremonies in our Indianapolis, Indiana office. The most rewarding part of this role is working directly with customers at the final step of their home-buying journey, ensuring a smooth, enjoyable customer experience.ย 
This position is 100% onsite in our Indianapolis office. Part-time hours will be 20-30 hours per week.ย

These skills will be used to:ย ย 

  • Coordinate, schedule, and manage all aspects of customer closings through mail, email, and phone, ensuring seamless communication and execution.ย 
  • Create and maintain customer files using title company software, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.ย 
  • Ensure accurate and timely closings across all lender types, managing customer touchpoints, closing ceremonies, and post-closing processes to achieve high customer satisfaction.ย 
  • Provide outstanding customer service by proactively addressing inquiries and concerns, ensuring all parties feel confident and informed throughout the closing process.ย 
  • Review and adhere to lender closing instructions to ensure compliance with requirements and timelines.ย 
  • Confirm receipt of proper funds and verify the accurate execution of closing packages.ย 
  • Collaborate to execute Title and Processing Team functions as needed, including title examinations, title reports, title commitments, title documents, recordings, title policies, loan documents, closing documents, and closing files.ย 
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, underwriting standards, industry guidelines, and company policies, best practices, and Homestead policies when making decisions and performing duties.ย 
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, training, and the adoption of new technologies to enhance efficiency and service quality.ย 

Preferred Qualifications: ย 

  • Proven experience conducting residential real estate closings, including managing customer-facing interactions.ย 
  • Knowledge of real estate closings, the title insurance industry, and/or a related field.ย 
  • Familiarity with the lending industry and lender closing requirements.ย 
  • Experience with Qualia or similar title, escrow, and closing software.ย 
  • Preferred: Notary Public certification; Required: Must obtain Notary Public certification after hire.ย 
  • Preferred: Title insurance license; Required: May be required to obtain a title insurance license after hire.ย 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:ย ย 

  • Must have use of sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through telephone and face-to-face contact.ย 
  • Have the capability to effectively use and operate various items of office-related equipment such as but not limited to a computer, calculator, copier, printer, scanner, and fax machine.ย 
  • Be able to sit for long periods of time with low periods of reaching and standing.ย 
  • Be able to lift and carry approximately 20-25 lbs unassisted.ย
