Job Description

This is aย remote position requiring travel. Candidates should be prepared to support various U.S. regions as needed - up to 70% travel.

Treace is seeking aย Clinical Innovation Specialist (CIS)ย for a remote-based role requiring travel, to guide and support new surgeon customers and operating room (OR) teams. The CIS ensures confidence in Treace's innovative product portfolio and procedures, focusing on their safe and effective application across diverse patient and clinical environments. This individual will play a vital role in customer adoption, retention, and new product launches.

As a subject matter expert collaborating cross-functionally with Medical Education, Product Management, and Sales, the Clinical Innovation Specialist will lead surgeon trainings, conduct educational labs, and provide real-time clinical support. This role also serves as a primary point of contact for customer feedback to continually improve our product performance.

Support Surgeons During Procedures - Attend surgeries with new surgeon customers, providing technical guidance to optimize outcomes and customer experience.

Conduct Clinical Training - Provide product training and education for surgeons (didactic and cadaveric labs) and sales teams within assigned regions.

Product Launch Collaboration - Partner with Product Management to ensure successful introductions of new product innovations into market.

Build Strong Customer Relationships - Establish enduring partnerships with surgeon customers and key accounts to promote long-term satisfaction and retention.

Promote Technical Excellence - Share surgical protocols, techniques, and insights ("tips and tricks") to assist OR teams and enhance clinical acumen.

Gather and Share Customer Feedback - Act as the primary liaison for customer insights and feedback on product performance to improve design, satisfaction, and usability.

Drive Sales Engagement - Develop pipelines of new surgeon trainees and users in collaboration with the sales team, while supporting trade shows, educational labs, and regional events.

Technical Support for Sales - Provide feedback and evaluate sales team performance to enhance their technical proficiency and product knowledge during sales calls and presentations.

Industry Insights - Keep management and marketing informed of relevant industry trends, product advancements, and changing customer needs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™sย degreeย in a science or closely related field isย preferred; equivalent combination of education, training,ย andโ€ฏexperience, may be considered in lieu of a degree.ย 

  • Three (3) + years of successfulย clinicalย orย productย specialistย or field sales experience with a surgical implant company (foot and ankle experience preferred), or 1+ years as a member of an Operating Room surgical team (RN or PA).

  • Mustย resideย in the assigned region.ย 

  • Previousย operating room experience isย required.ย 

  • Must be able to travel up toย 70-90%, with some weekendsย required.ย
